Denouncing the devil
A priest was speaking with a man on his deathbed.
The priest told the man: “Denounce the devil! Let him know how little you think of his evil.”
The dying man said nothing.
The priest repeated his order. Still the dying man said nothing.
The priest asked, “Why do you refuse to denounce the devil and his evil?”
The dying man said, “Until I know where I’m heading, I don’t think I ought to aggravate anybody.”
Do you know where you’re going? A local church has a message on their sign that says:
Where will you spend eternity? The choice is yours…for now.
You see, while we’re alive, we do have a choice where we spend eternity. But unfortunately, by not making the choice to accept Jesus while you are alive (and go to Heaven), you have automatically made a choice (by default) to spend eternity in Hell. Is that what you want?
I definately don’t want that for me, and I don’t want it for you either. I hope you don’t want that choice, and I hope you won’t allow your friends and family to make that choice by default. Speak to them about Jesus today and let them know how to be saved.
