Do you know what would have happened if it had been “Three Wise Women” instead of Three Wise Men?
They would have:
1. Asked directions
2. Arrived on time
3. Helped deliver the baby
4. Cleaned the stable
5. Made a casserole, and….
6. Brought practical gifts
OK, so the wise men may not have been as wise as women…? Big Deal….
But on a serious note, bottom line is that at least they had the dedication to pursue and follow Jesus. While we don’t know the exact details of their trip, we do know they didn’t use cars, and it took many days to travel from “their own country” to arrive (Mt. 2:12).
What kind of dedication does that show? What can it teach us about our lives and how we should dedicate our lives to His service and following Jesus?
