With an attitude of thanksgiving and total dependence on God as we go about our everyday lives, turning our thoughts toward Him in the midst of doing all the things we have to do and listening for his voice in every situation." ~Joyce Meyer; "Hearing From God Everyday" Devotional book When we pray we open up the communication line between us and God in the same way we pick up the phone to call our friend. GOD NEVER HANGS UP. He's always on the other end of the line waiting for us to "tune in" to the conversation. We also have to remember that the phone line isn't a one way road of communication; it isn't just so we can talk to God. We need to be quiet and listen to Him for our answers and not so quick to place the "receiver down" putting Him on hold or even to just "hang up" before we give Him time to speak to us.
