Another prayer reminder
Lately, I’ve received a lot of comfort from the Psalms.
Last night during our Youth Lesson, we discussed the book of Psalms. You see, the Bible is the Word of God given from God to man. But, if you read closely, the book of Psalms is a lengthy book of prayer and praise to God from man. Because of this uniqueness, I believe it serves as an example for us on how to go about praising God and praying to God.
Psalm 34:4-6
4 I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
He freed me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
6 In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
he saved me from all my troubles.
I hope this brightens your day the way it does mine. A famous quote states “Prayer works.” Without a doubt, this is true. It’s just nice to be reminded sometimes.
