the freedom of God’s grace

Having problems in your daily walk? Paul, a great servant and disciple of our Lord God, gave us some great advice in the book of Romans:

Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life.” – Romans 6:12-13

Paul reminds us that WE HAVE CONTROL over our own bodies. We get to choose what we do. And it’s our responsibility to keep sin out of our lives. However, it is because of God that we have this choice. It is because of God that we have NEW life!

Therefore, brothers and sisters, do not allow sin to come back into your life, instead give up your body as a living sacrifice to God. Jesus gave sacrificially to His death for us to have new life. Simply put HE DIED FOR YOU! The least we can do is LIVE FOR HIM!

“So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.” – Romans 6:13-14

Go . . . and make disciples! Be His witness in everything you do. Keep sin from your life and live “under the freedom of God’s grace.”

This is one of the best ones I’ve ever read! Great job, James!

I have been having a lot of trouble in my daily walk with God, it’s not that I dont know what to do it’s just that sin is just so tempting. I’m a senior now, and I’m at one of the most important times in my life and sometimes I just take for granted of how truly bless I’m, and that God can take it all away.
Every day I wake up to the time I go to bed; I’m struggling fighting the devil. I want to give my self completely to God; I want to do his will and be a forerunner for his word, the road of salvation is hard, but the bible says it’s better to suffer for good rather than evil, so I’m going to keep the faith.

Thanks for sharing. I understand what you mean. There are many days that I struggle as well. The human mind is tempted by so many worldly things. However, God is a good God and will give us strength to succeed. I’ve found the best way to make it through is to spend more time with God and less time in the world. This can be done through prayer, reading the Bible, attending church, etc. The more time you spend around true Christians, the easier life gets.

  4. Matthew says:

    Amen
