Thank God, It’s…Monday!
What? A good friend asked me not too long ago, “Are you glad it’s Monday, or do you long for Friday?” Most people would say that they can’t wait for Friday.
The reason most people do this is because of the “stuff” they do on the weekends. It’s like they work all week (Mon-Fri), so they can “celebrate” on Saturday/Sunday (drinking, partying, etc.)
However, if we consider a truly Chrsitian perspective on the week, it goes like this.
Sunday – Praise God in Worship Assembly
Monday – the first opportunity at work/school to witness to someone about God
Tuesday – another opportunity to witness and follow-up from Monday
Wednesday – another opportunity, PLUS a night at church to re-energize our spirit.
Thursday – yet another opportunity to tell about how good God is
Friday – the last work/school day to witness, better make this good
Saturday – the Sabbath – REST, REST, REST…in preparation for Praising God on Sunday.
How does that compare to your week?
Let’s make Monday the first day of the work week to celebrate God’s goodness and TELL SOMEONE about it! “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalm 118:24
That’s a great perspective of the week, baby! Thanks! I never thought about TGIM! Or TGIT or TGIW! It sounds great the way you put it! PRAISE GOD CONTINUALLY EVERYDAY OF THE WEEK!
