what now?

How many times do we try to do right and then what?  Something happens.  We fail, or things don’t turn out the way we expect.  The truth is, if we are doing what God wants us to do: we haven’t failed! I saw a church sign the other day that said “It’s better to fail at doing right – than to succeed at doing wrong.”

We’re not failures when we are following God. It’s just that sometimes we think we failed because we thought we knew what the outcome was supposed to be.  The truth of the matter is that we don’t know how things are supposed to turn out. We are just supposed to “DO” what’s right.

Scripture reminds us:

“This is what the LORD says—The Holy One…  “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”  – Isaiah 48:17

As long as we are following His direction – we are good!  He knows the plans He has laid for us.  It’s our job to be obedient and follow them. Don’t worry about the outcomes, as Nike would say “Just do (it)”
