in two days…

It’s March 31st . . .

45 ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’ 46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.” (Matthew 25:45-46)

1 When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples, 2 “As you know, Passover begins in two days, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.” (Matthew 26:1-2)

It’s only 2 days away from Good Friday, maybe we all ought to take some time and remember what Jesus did for us on that solemn, but victorious day.

you will have trouble, but…

Remember, Jesus “overcame the world” and proved He is God’s Son. And this time of the year is when we are reminded of this more than ever. As Easter approaches, I ask that you share the truth of Jesus with someone you love and share His peace with the whole world!

In God alone

God is the source of all of our successes. Our hope is in Him. The Lord is our rock and the source of our Salvation. He protects us from our enemies. And we can put our trust in Him and Him alone. “Pour out your heart to Him, for He is our refuge.”

weakness => true strength

Think about the times that you are feeling great and at the top of the world: how often do you remember that it was God that put you there? Probably not very often.

Therefore, THANK GOD for your weak days and let the Lord give you strength.

Pray 4 our leadership

I understand that our government is currently tackling some very tough issues for our nation. However, it is obvious that the split by parties has identified a true weakness of our current system. It has become a “he said – she said” party in Washington lately as the President rallies for votes and support on Healthcare.

so that your prayers may not be hindered…

Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect . . . and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers. – 1 Peter 3:7

Patient Obedience

It seems so hard to try to interpret the Will of God when we can’t find direct instructions in Scripture for making certain choices in life. But imagine, what if . . . what if God specifically TOLD you what to do, AND . . . God TOLD you that you would be unsuccessful at it? How would you react?

Psalm 19:1-7

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure… Psalm 19:1-7

God’s love . . .

This week in New Orleans I have had the opportunity to meet some new fellow students in class. We have had many discussions about our worship class, but also about our families and personal lives. Through this, I have been reminded about one of my favorite Scripture verses:

Psalm 127:3 – Behold, children are a gift from the LORD

what is “worship”

Yesterday in Worship class, we were reminded of what “Worship” is. I pause…to ask you:

What is worship?
What do you consider worship?
Do you worship every Sunday?
Or do you worship DAILY?
