The Shack was an amazing read. There are so many incredible passages! My favorite..."Most birds were created to fly. Being grounded for them is a limitation within their ability to fly, not the other way around." She paused to let Mack think about her statement. "You on the other hand, were created to be loved. So for you to live as if you were unloved is a limitation, not the other way around."

Brings tears to my eyes. God Bless.

Thank you for explaining that more clearly, sweetie. I knew that "fear" didn't mean to be afraid of God, because how can you be afraid of Him and love Him at the same time? I knew it meant more of a reverence, but I still connected the word fear to reverent.

What you wrote makes much more sense. I love you!

I love you, too, sweetie! And, I'm not even mad that you announced my age to the world! LOL. Like we've always said, God put us in each other's path of life. He made you for me and me for you. YOU ARE THE ONE HE CHOSE FOR ME! I know that without a doubt. I also know that IF you had not chosen to live according to HIS WILL that he would have seperated us before we got married. In high school, when I prayed for God to give me a man whom I could spend the rest of my life with and who would treat me right and be good to me and love me with all of his heart, God answered that prayer in YOU! I love you with all of my heart!

Love Always,
Kimberly

I really like your commentary on this, sweetie. But you left out some names that describes you - great husband, family leader, obedient disciple, teacher, help-mate, craftsman, shall I go on? I love you!

Comment on How to Pray by Kimberly

We should also pray on every occasion and in every way we know how. Ephesians 6:18 "Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere."
"How do we pray "at all times" as the bible instructs? With an attitude of thanksgiving and total dependence on God as we go about our everyday lives, turning our thoughts toward Him in the midst of doing all the things we have to do and listening for his voice in every situation." ~Joyce Meyer; "Hearing From God Everyday" Devotional book
When we pray we open up the communication line between us and God in the same way we pick up the phone to call our friend. GOD NEVER HANGS UP. He's always on the other end of the line waiting for us to "tune in" to the conversation. We also have to remember that the phone line isn't a one way road of communication; it isn't just so we can talk to God. We need to be quiet and listen to Him for our answers and not so quick to place the "receiver down" putting Him on hold or even to just "hang up" before we give Him time to speak to us.
