We often talk, as Christians, about our faith in the Lord to protect us and to carry us through. In fact, in many cases of extreme trials and especially in times of loss of family members, we often quote Psalm 23.

God can make all things new in your life. Don’t get me wrong, you will still see the occassional rainfall, and maybe even downpour of hardship in your life. However, just as the rain refreshes the earth and gives it life, the trials and struggles in our lives will make us new and full of life also.

A few days ago, I was speaking with a co-worker when he used the word “obedience.” As he struggles to follow the Lord’s Will in his life, he found that being obedient to the Lord was a necessity in order to live a fulfilling, satisfying life….

This week I have found that many of us are struggling with trials in our lives. I have also come to acknowledge that when we are growing in our faith is when satan attacks the most. Therefore, I am comforted in knowing that what we are doing for the Lord this week is for His glory. And thus, satan has begun an offensive, and is attacking us.

May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! – Psalm 20:1-2
