is that . . . ?

A nurse on the pediatric ward, before listening to the little ones’ chests, would plug the stethoscope into their ears and let them listen to their own heart. Their eyes would always light up with awe, but she never got a response equal to four-year old David’s comment.

THE LORD’S BASEBALL GAME

Freddy and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord’s team was playing Satan’s team.

The Lord’s team was at bat, the score was tied zero to zero, and it was the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs.

being “good” to get to Heaven

Some people say that Christians are too “strict.” People say we have too many rules and laws that we abide by. However, that’s simply not true. We follow the 10 Commandments, and we have Jesus as our Savior. All other “rules” are simply guided by these simple principles. The first and foremost of these, as Jesus taught was to “Love the Lord your God” which helps to reinforce the fact that we must allow Jesus to take control of our lives in everything we do. When we do this, it simply helps us to want to follow His other teachings.

Victory!

. . . For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

the end of the world?

I’ve had a lot of people lately ask me: “Do you think it’s the end of the world?”

Why do they ask? Everybody knows about the numerous wars happening over the past few years. Lately, the amount of serious earthquakes have increased. And just this past week a volcano erupted that “blacked” out the sun over Europe.

a day in court

After living what I felt was a ‘decent’ life, my time on earth came to the end. The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I thought to be a court house. The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table. . . .

logic says . . .

Logic tells the atheist, if he’s wrong, he goes to hell, if he’s right, he just dies.
Logic tells the believer, if he’s wrong, he just dies, if he’s right, he goes to Heaven.

You choose! It’s your life and your eternity – where do you want to spend it?

Psalm 92 – Praise, praise, praise

We need to remember this constantly. Praise and worship is something that should happen consistently and constantly. As I heard several times in a local Pentecostal church in my hometown this past Sunday “Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord!”

JESUS HAS RISEN!

1After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

5The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; HE HAS RISEN, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” – Matthew 28:1-7

you will have trouble, but…

Remember, Jesus “overcame the world” and proved He is God’s Son. And this time of the year is when we are reminded of this more than ever. As Easter approaches, I ask that you share the truth of Jesus with someone you love and share His peace with the whole world!
