Recently, there has been a nationwide call to fast and pray for our country. Many people, however, don’t know what it means to fast or how to fast. First of all, Scripture tells us not to be boastful about our fast… Continue reading

question to God
You may know this story, but I want you to think about it from a different perspective. It’s OK to ask questions. An old chinese proverb states:
He who asks a question is a fool for five minutes;
He who does not ask a question remains a fool forever.

Shhh!
This is a story about Jesus reminding us, as Christians, that we must sometimes get away from others in order to refill our spiritual gas tanks. The disciples had just returned from being in the countryside preaching, teaching, and healing (Mark 6:7-13). Now that they had spent so much time ministering to others, it was time to refill their spirits again.
