Written by an unknown author, Psalm 121 (above) relates the story that we will never outgrow the need for God’s protection in our life. The Good News, however, is that we don’t have to worry, because God will ALWAYS be there to protect us.

want to go camping with God?

As I prepare physically to go camping with the guys tonight, I stop to ask the question: Do you think God ever goes camping?

Maybe you think this is an odd question. Since God owns everything on earth, and is everywhere all the time, then “camping” may not be an appropriate word to describe what God may or may not do….

The Choices We Make

Do you feel left behind? Is God moving all around you, but not in you? I felt the same way a week ago, but I’ve come to realize what my heart knew all along…

How to Pray

The Lord’s Prayer: ‘This, then, is how you should pray:

“Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.”

how can you believe in God?

I attended school and heard what the science teachers said about evolution, but it didn’t make sense. I mean if we evolved from apes, why are there still apes? Furthermore, how can “abnormal” changes to a species survive (we know medically that abnormal diseases that affect people cause them to die prematurely – not out survive the rest of us).

the Lord alone

There will be a day when the Lord, and only the Lord will finally be given His due credit.
How do I know? Simply because - as the great song of old time goes “because the Bible tells me so:”
12 The LORD Almighty has a day in store
for all the proud and lofty,
       for all that [...]

I have sinned

Have you sinned?

Even if you have, there is GOOD NEWS!

JESUS HAS RISEN!

1After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

5The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; HE HAS RISEN, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” – Matthew 28:1-7

watching & praying

Just as the disciples were being distracted by worldly “needs” and desires, keeping them from having their eyes on Jesus – we also are distracted, on a daily basis. This is what satan desires – that we be distracted and get our eyes off Jesus.

So this is just a little reminder today, watch and pray, keep your eyes on Jesus and do not allow things of this world nor people of this world to distract you Jesus.

in two days…

It’s March 31st . . .

45 ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’ 46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.” (Matthew 25:45-46)

1 When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples, 2 “As you know, Passover begins in two days, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.” (Matthew 26:1-2)

It’s only 2 days away from Good Friday, maybe we all ought to take some time and remember what Jesus did for us on that solemn, but victorious day.
