ask and you shall receive…

You may ask God today for something you want, but thank Him when you receive ALL that you need.

Blessings for YOU

1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:

the Holy Spirit

Why doesn’t the Holy Spirit come upon us more often?

This is a great question that I think a good many Christians ask when attempting to grow in their Christian faith.

Other relevant questions include:
Why don’t I feel closer to God?
What am I doing that is holding me back?
Why isn’t my church growing?

one of my favorites

This Scripture is from one of my favorite passages that I had to memorize in Seminary; I hope you enjoy it:

“. . . the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for . . .” – Romans 8:26…

in a hurry? God understands…

A Poem

A man reaps what he sows. 8The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Psalm 23 – a new look

The Lord is my Shepherd = That’s Relationship!
I shall not want = That’s Supply!
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures = That’s Rest!
He leadeth me beside the still waters = That’s Refreshment!

it’s time!

Ecclesiastes 3
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven . . .

is that . . . ?

A nurse on the pediatric ward, before listening to the little ones’ chests, would plug the stethoscope into their ears and let them listen to their own heart. Their eyes would always light up with awe, but she never got a response equal to four-year old David’s comment.
